New businesses opened in 2024

In 2024, numerous companies from a wide range of sectors opened their doors to the general public. It was a unique opportunity for everyone to discover a wide range of professional sectors, from industry and crafts to technology and services. These visits provided an opportunity to go behind the scenes of these innovative companies, talk to their teams and gain a better understanding of their impact and know-how.

  • CBL - Femilux

    FEMILUX is expanding in Laval!
    In the former workshop of Mouettes Vertes, the French company aims to develop its know-how to meet the demands of luxury brands.
    From the design office to the “bichonnage” (final ironing before the garment is dispatched), via cutting, machine or hand quilting, buttoning and labeling… a veritable ballet of yarns and fabrics takes place in the workshops to produce coats, dresses, tunics or jackets according to the season…

  • La Fabrique des métiers

    La Fabrique des Métiers is a CFA located in Changé, near Laval, since 2021.
    La Fabrique des Métiers offers work-study training leading to a certificate or diploma in Family Life Assistant, Cleaning and Hygiene Agent or Security Agent.
    On-the-job training, practical application and support are at the heart of our teaching methods, to guarantee successful integration into the world of services.
    We work closely with companies in the MAISON ET SERVICES, VIVRE ADOM and APROLLIANCE networks (health and safety).

  • Laval Hospital

    The Centre hospitalier de Laval is the support facility for the Groupement hospitalier de territoire de la Mayenne et du Haut-Anjou, which groups together 7 public hospitals in the Mayenne region.
    The facility offers both primary care and referral services in a wide range of specialties.
    In all, it has almost 50 care, biology and imaging departments.

    The hospital relies on a community of 2,500 hospital professionals working in over 110 different professions.
    Every day, they put their skills at the service of the health of the people of Mayenne, thereby contributing to the public hospital service.

  • Maille Création

    SCOP Maille Création was created in 1993 by 25 founder-employees who took over their ailing textile company.
    To capitalize on its knitting and tailoring expertise in the high-end sector, the company has stepped up its product development support (research, knitwear samples, model prototypes), while relying on a network of Italian subcontractors to handle all levels of production orders.
    Based near Laval (53), the SCOP now has 72 associate-employees and sales of around €8m.

  • The village by CA

    The Village by CA is a European network of 47 innovation gas pedals serving local communities and their businesses.
    On a daily basis, the Village by CA Laval supports around ten start-ups and as many SMEs and ETIs in their development, financing and transformation.

  • Saint-Nicolas swimming pool

    The aquatic complex, with its two indoor pools and one outdoor Olympic pool, offers optimal swimming conditions.
    Over the years, the facility has evolved, combining accessibility, proximity and high ambitions.
    Today, it enables us to deploy a sports policy focused on supporting clubs, national and international sporting events, and sports education for the younger generation.

  • Saica Pack

    The SAICA Group, Europe’s leading corrugated board manufacturer (10,100 employees – 115 plants), has a strong presence in France, with 2,500 employees and 22 plants.
    The Group enjoys sustained, balanced growth, and has built up a high-performance industrial base.
    Mastering the entire value chain, from paper supply to board converting and industrial board production, SAICA is close to its markets.

  • Transdev STAO 53

    Transdev STAO is a major player in public transport in Mayenne, operating regular urban, departmental, regional and school bus routes on behalf of local authorities.

    Located throughout the department, we have a large fleet of vehicles of various capacities to meet all your needs. During your visit, you’ll discover our workshops and teams, and learn more about our business.

  • Trigano Lider Sun Way

    LIDER, based in Bonchamp les Laval (53) since 1994, joined the Trigano Group in 2012 to consolidate its position as French leader in trailers, with over 23% overall market share in France, all registered segments combined.
    LIDER generates sales of nearly €50 million.

  • TUL

    The TUL network offers: 11 regular lines, a city-center shuttle, around 70 school services, an evening service, a transport-on-demand service, a TPMR service, a long-term VAE rental service and more than 650 stops throughout the territory.
