Le biscuitier du Maine

Cookies, confectionery, chocolates

Family-run, artisanal cookie factory run by Emmanuel and Lydiane Dairou.

Emmanuel, a pastry chef, chocolatier and confectioner by trade for over 30 years, is in charge of manufacturing and developing new recipes.

Lydiane, an executive employee by trade for over 20 years, works with Emmanuel on the production and packaging side, as well as marketing our products.

In 2003, Lydiane and Emmanuel acquired a boulangerie pâtisserie in Arnage in the Sarthe region, which they sold in 2009 to be closer to their families.
In 2010, they created a boulangerie pâtisserie in Bonchamp les Laval, where Emmanuel perfected the recipe for PETIT BEURRE MAYENNAIS in 2015, which they began selling in this bakery.
In response to demand, Emmanuel and Lydiane decided to sell their shortbread cookies in delicatessens and then in Mayenne supermarkets.
They decided to sell their bakery in 2018, and set up a cookie factory under the name LE BISCUITIER DU MAINE.

La Ferme de Cornesse

Cider, apple juice, Pommeau du Maine

Marie and Fabien run an organic family farm in La Brûlatte, producing cider apple by-products and raising a herd of Limousin suckler cows.

They welcome visitors to their cider and suckler cow farm, surrounded by apple trees and forest.
It’s a pleasure for them to share their work as apple growers, processors and breeders.

They were awarded the 2014 and 2016 Prix d’Excellence for pommeau and cider.

Maison Derval

Sweet and savoury cookies, chocolates

A family of craftsmen at the service of taste.

This passion for craftsmanship runs in the family through 3 generations. The adventure began with Moïse (father) and Nicole, in 1961, when the first Derval bakery appeared in the Mayenne capital. Then, quite naturally, Moïse (son), a pastry chef by profession and fervent devotee of French gastronomy, took over the business with his wife Isabelle.

This passion has been passed down from father to son, since Pierre, the grandson, chose to continue his studies in pastry-making and did his apprenticeship in Angers, Paris and London before returning to his native Mayenne.

Each generation has made its own contribution to the business: Moïse (father) through bread-making, Moïse (son) through his passion for pastry and chocolate, and Pierre through his nomadic delicacies.

The company’s determination to adapt its offer to consumers’ desires and new consumption patterns has seen it through the years, while remaining true to its credo: taste above all.
