An unforgettable stay in Laval

with the family for a weekend

Day 1

In Laval, start your day with a visit to the Tourist Office to pick up an exploration guide. This booklet, designed for adventurers aged 7 to 14 or 15 and over, is available for €2.50. It includes a map to help you discover the hidden treasures of the historic center. At each stage of the tour, you’ll have the opportunity to answer questions about Laval’s history. To make sure you don’t miss a thing, you’ll need to keep your eyes peeled…

After this first part of the tour, take a well-deserved break in one of the local restaurants. Take the time to sample local cuisine while sharing your first impressions of the mysteries of Laval’s heritage.

In Saint-Berthevin, head for the Arche Desnoé, a 3-hectare wildlife park. This park is ideal for families looking to immerse themselves in the animal world. You’ll discover a variety of local species, including dwarf goats, pheasants, ponies and farmyard animals. Don’t miss the chance to admire rarer species such as 4-horned sheep, llamas and watussi cows. You’ll have plenty of time to get away from it all and observe the diversity of the fauna, while enjoying a soothing natural setting.

To round off a day rich in discoveries, relax by consulting the calendar of events in Laval. Why not end the day with a cultural activity?

Day 2

Morning: To get the day off to a smooth start before a thrilling afternoon, visit the exhibition at Zoom, Laval’s center for scientific, technical and industrial culture. This stopover will allow you to explore captivating themes that will arouse the curiosity of young and old alike.

Noon: Head to Parc de l’Orbière for a nature adventure. Pack a picnic lunch and sit back in the lush greenery. This convivial moment will allow you to regain your strength before embarking on the accrobranche courses that await you for an afternoon of sport and fun.

After being fitted out and briefed by the supervisory team, you’ll be ready to tackle the 140 workshops spread over 10 courses suitable for all ages and levels. Who will be tempted by the giant zip lines? The first, 200 meters long, offers a breathtaking view and unforgettable sensations. The second, 100 metres long, combines speed and adrenalin.
